Planning for the IFSTA Annual Meeting is progressing well. This is being held in conjunction with SWIMCON23 on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia. The theme for this convention is ‘Supernova’ and it’s going to be the showcase event of the year for swimming coaches, teachers and swim school operators.
- IFSTA Meeting = Wednesday 20 September 2023
- Swim school tour and swim teacher courses on Saturday 16 September (small additional cost)
- SWIMCON23 = Sunday 16 to Tuesday 19 September 2023 at The Star.
- Practical in-water sessions on Wednesday 20 September at a local aquatic centre (small additional cost)

It is planned to hold the IFSTA meeting on Wednesday 20 September. The venue for this meeting will be confirmed once attendance numbers are confirmed. However, the venue will be within walking distance of The Star convention centre.
SWIMCON23 is the national conference of Swim Coaches & Teachers Australia and we have a special registration for all IFSTA members to attend of AUD$700.00. This registration fee includes:
- access to all conference sessions on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at The Star conference centre
- attendance at the two social functions (Awards dinner and “Night Under the Stars”
- morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the three days
- delegate bag etc.
SWIMCON23 will feature daily plenary sessions, three breakout streams (teaching of learn to swim and water safety, coaching athletes, the business of learn to swim). In addition to the formal conference there will be a swim school tour and teaching courses on Saturday 16 September
